Nedbank will host a business conference in Windhoek to equip owner-managed enterprises with tools for growth, innovation, and strategic resilience.
The event will take place in Windhoek on 21 August.
According to a statement issued by project coordinator Rukee Kaakunga, the inaugural Future of Business Conference will address critical areas for business growth, with a focus on leadership, communication, human resources, and information technology.
The event is held in collaboration with Future Media, Aurik, Droombos, Salt Essential IT, Fly Namibia, and Africa Personnel Services.
It aims to help businesses connect with like-minded owner-managed business leaders, micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) founders, chief executives, executives, and ambitious business professionals.
“Tailored for forward-thinking SMEs, emerging start-ups, and established owner-managed businesses, the event aims to provide attendees with knowledge and tools to scale up their ventures and drive innovation,” Kaakunga says.
Nedbank group chief executive Jason Quinn, Nedbank Africa head of marketing Tatiana Ndlovu, and Aurik co-founder Pavlo Phitidis are expected to be keynote speakers.
Nedbank spokesperson Selma Kaulinge highlights the bank’s commitment to supporting Namibian businesses.
“Namibian businesses are the backbone of our economy, and their resilience and innovation are what drives our nation forward.
“We believe empowering Namibian businesses with strategic insight and practical tools is essential for succeeding in a rapidly changing world,” she says.
Kaulinge expresses hope that through the Nedbank Future of Business conference, participants will walk away with renewed clarity and confidence in their business strategies, especially on how to adapt to change.
“By investing in platforms like this, Nedbank is intentionally helping to shape a future where Namibian enterprises are proactive, future-ready, and positioned to lead both locally and globally,” she says.
Future Media chief executive Gary Stroebel says the conference will offer direct access to leading thought leaders from Namibia and South Africa, providing invaluable, locally relevant insights for managers, leaders, and change drivers.
“We identified a crucial need for a platform, specifically targeting owner-managed businesses, which are key drivers of change in Namibia,” he says.
Stroebel says the business conference promises to foster growth, innovation, and strategic resilience within Namibia’s business community, solidifying the financial institution’s dedication to empowering local enterprises.
