Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) has launched a local graduate development programme aimed at empowering young Namibian graduates and nurturing the next generation of industry leaders.
The initiative, which aligns with NBL’s commitment to youth empowerment and national development, will offer structured on-the-job training and mentorship to young professionals across key business functions.
The programme is set to run for 12 months and is targeted at unemployed graduates who hold qualifications in fields such as finance, marketing, engineering, human resources and supply chain management.
“As a proudly Namibian company, we believe it is our responsibility to invest in the future of our country by empowering young people with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive. This programme is a reflection of our commitment to Namibia’s development and our belief in the potential of our youth to drive meaningful change,” says NBL managing director Waldemar von Lieres.
The first cohort of graduates has already been selected and started their journey with NBL on Wednesday.
Each participant will undergo intensive rotational training across various departments to gain a holistic understanding of the business.
“We are incredibly proud to welcome this new cohort of graduates. They bring fresh perspectives, energy and ambition. Through this programme, we aim to equip them with the tools, experiences and confidence to thrive not only within NBL but across the broader business landscape,” human resources manager Caryn Eliasov-Barker says.
