This was revealed at an event held at MultiChoice Namibia”;s headquarters in Windhoek recently.
NBC3 is now available on DStv channel 287 and GOtv channel 93.
It is available to customers on all packages.
“Local broadcasters are the grassroots of the TV industry, and with NBC3 now available on our platform, we are responding to the ongoing consumer demand for quality local entertainment as part of our ongoing efforts to bring our customer base the best in entertainment,” says MultiChoice Namibia (MCN) managing director Roger Gertze.
“This collaboration with NBC is part of our successful ongoing carriage agreement with NBC as we continue to look for fresh content that is relevant in our market,” he says.
Earlier this month, MultiChoice and NBC announced 13 Namibian film concepts selected out of over 200 submissions that will be aired on DStv and GOtv as part of many collaborations between MCN and NBC over the next year.
“NBC3 is our premier movie channel, and we are delighted to have it as part of the MultiChoice packages. It will grow our revenue, and from an offering perspective, we will be able to speak to potential advertisers,” NBC director general Stanley Similo says.
NBC3 is a family channel catering to those who love drama, telenovelas and reality shows, as well as documentaries, world-class movies and content that promotes local and international tourism in a variety of languages.
