Namcor outlets spread to Rundu

The state-owned National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) has opened two new service stations at Kehemu and Paradisa at Rundu, bringing its retail service station portfolio in the country to 15.

The new service stations are part of Namcor’s retain strategy to establish and secure strategically located fuel and lubricant distribution networks, as well as infrastructure to boost the company’s brand.

Hoveka said the company will continue to open service stations around the country to cater to the needs of every Namibian, providing jobs, as well as offering consumers a wider variety of choices.

In addition to the 15 service stations across the country, Namcor has several sites currently under construction, with completion slated for later this year.

Acting sales and marketing executive Olivia Dunaiski has reaffirmed the parastatal’s commitment to the implementation of its fuel retail strategy.

“Namcor endeavours to expand its retail network to strategic places around the country, thereby offering an alternative choice to consumers, as well as contributing to the growth of the local economies of our various cities, towns and villages,” she says.

Hoveka says with Rundu’s population of around 63 400 residents, the two new sites are uniquely positioned to serve the community and provide motorists and travellers with 24-hour convenience stores.

The Kehemu site will serve residents of Kehemu and Kaisosi, as well as lodges along the Okavango River.

The Paradisa site will cater for residents of Sauyemwa, upcoming suburbs in the vicinity, as well as the town’s industrial area.

“Both sites boast convenience stores, with Paradisa having the additional benefit of a sitting area inside the store,” Hoveka says.
