Mushe ends the year with ‘Evidence’

Mushe will be launching his third commercial album tonight at the Zoo Park Amphitheatre in Windhoek, where anyone who buys an album today will stand a chance to win a jukebox.

The NAMAs 2013 Artist of the Year will round off his eventful year with the launch of a 19 track album titled ‘Evidence’.

According to Mushe, the album is a reflection of everything he has gone through in his life, especially the accusations he has been victim of while in the limelight.

“The name comes from the phrase, not guilty until proven with evidence, so I am just saying here is the evidence, I am not guilty until you can prove with evidence,” Mushe explained.

Following a very successful second album, ‘Ongalamwenyo’, Mushe raised the bar and said that he knew he had to maintain the standards and levels, explaining he worked with the best in the industry to ensure that he will raise the bar even higher than he did with the previous album. He added that fans and music lovers can look forward to the usual Afro-pop sounds but still exciting new and fresh work with songs like ‘Inothila’ which means do not be afraid, a song Mushe wrote apologising for past actions.

“I worked with Gazza, M-Jay, Annsinger and Promise. This is a real happy album, in ‘Ongalamwenyo’ I was complaining a little but in this one I am not complaining,” he laughed.

Spending well over three months on producing, mastering and fine-tuning the album, Mushe said that he promises a quality album which is guaranteed to rule the airwaves and become a household must-have.

The album launch will also serve as a platform for the launch of Mushe’s charity project which will run up to June next year. Mushe will be running a competition where fans can buy tickets and stand a chance to win one of two ‘Evidence’ CD’s every month, with proceeds going to charity.

“We have not decided which charity to donate to yet but we encourage everybody to take part in the competition because it is for a good cause,” Mushe said.

CDs will be available on Friday in the Mono music shop in Wanaheda, Elenga CD shop in Ombili and Antonio’s Art in Post Street Mall for N$130.

Also, CDs will be for sale tonight at the launch at N$135 with N$5 going to charity. Entrance to the launch will cost you N$60 in advance and N$80 at the gate.
