The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) has clarified that Lionel Matthews is not the current acting head of the institution.
The corporation’s head for business strategy, Shiwana Ndeunyema, will be acting as managing director until further notice.
Namcor has confirmed that it is in discussions with Matthews regarding the terms of his appointment.
Until a formal offer is extended and accepted, any discussions regarding executive appointments remain speculative, Namcor says.
