Manchester City Academy signs 14-year-old Namibian

Budding young Namibian footballer Forester Kuzatjike (14), who is based in Birmingham in the United Kingdom (UK), has been signed with English Premiership Manchester City Academy.

His father, Fourman Kuzatjike, confirmed this to The Namibian on Tuesday.

“I am excited about the signing of my boy. The contract is for two years,” he said.

Kuzatjike said he is happy his son has been given the opportunity to train with one of the world’s biggest football clubs.

He said Forester is focused on nurturing his talent with Manchester City.

“The decision whether he will play for Namibia or England in the future is entirely his. But he is very keen on playing for Namibia,” Kuzatjika said.

Forester joined West Bromwich Albion Academy in 2019, where he developed further and remained until this year.

He is now taking the next big step in his career after signing for the under-15/under-16 team at the academy.
