HELD at the cosy Confab restaurant in Windhoek last Saturday night, the launch of Lydia Penny Daniel’;s LDP Fashions as well as her Diverse Clothing Line was a perfect introduction to the Namibian fashion scene.
Judging by the enthusiasm shown by those in attendance, the brand may just turn out to be a hit.
A wide range of styles were showcased at the event, including the newly launched AG Jeans by Assumpta Gahutu.
Daniel showed off just how diverse her line is with casual wear inspired by ‘;love and summer vibes’;, formal wear inspired by women’;s empowerment as well as swimwear for women of all shapes and sizes.
Daniel reiterated her intention to use her designing talent to give back to the less fortunate.
“Growing up at an orphanage made me want to help others, so from now on, I will choose five less privileged children in primary school and buy them stationery and five girls in matric for whom my partner Taimi Sakeus and I will design dresses for their matric farewell,” she said.
