Jayden on New Music and Fatherhood

Having taken a musical hiatus of six months to take care of his child, the Otjiwarongo-based artist Jayden is back and ready to take local RnB to the next step.

Jayden, whose real name is Jerome Hameva Shilongo, has returned to the music scene victorious as ever.

The artist recently released his first song for the year, titled ‘DM’, a collaboration with Ynot Records’ new kid in the game Yeezir.

The track was produced by one of the country’s greatest producers, KalloOnTheBeat.

Fans had to wait over a year for something new from Shilongo, but the singer’s reason for taking a break was understandable.

He says he wanted to learn the value of being a family man and father, and wanted to give his child the love it deserves from the moment it was born.

“Many kids don’t get love from their fathers, so I had to offer it on my own,” he says.

“I also had to focus on my moves to see how I should work to truly make it happen for me and my family in this difficult time of Covid-19.”

Jayden is, however, releasing the track in style, collaborating on a competition with ViralCom, a local online music store and marketing company that allows musicians to promote their music at a fee.

Fans are then able to purchase the music at N$4 per SMS in exchange for a link to download the song.

For the rest of September, Jayden will be handing out N$500 every Friday, and SuperAweh data every second Friday.

Just SMS the song’s name, ‘DM’, as many times as you can to 10010, and you may be a lucky winner. – unWrap.online
