HEAVY RAINFALL … Almost a year ago, on 19 and 20 March 2025, Gobabeb – Namib Research Institute, located in the Namib Desert, 120 km south-east of Walvis Bay, recorded one of its heaviest single day rainfall events since meteorological records began. More than 20mm of rain fell in that period.
