ALMATY – A Brazilian footballer playing for first-division Kazakh club Shakhtyor Karaganda has died of a heart attack after a training session.
Nilton Pereira Mendes, a 30-year-old striker, felt pains in his chest after training on Monday and doctors were unable to resuscitate him, club spokeswoman Anastasia Poutchkova told AFP.
