The chief executive of the Roads Authority, Conrad Lutombi, Otjiwarongo Town Council CEO Moses Matyayi and a former acting CEO of the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund, Eino Mvula, are among five candidates shortlisted to fill the vacant CEO position at the Windhoek municipality.
The other two candidates are Joyce Mukubi, who is the deputy executive director for administration in the Ministry of Works and Transport, and Charmill Zamuee.
This was announced in a statement by the city’s current acting CEO, George Mayumbelo, on Wednesday.
Mayumbelo said interviews to fill the position would be conducted toward the end of this month.
He said the City of Windhoek received 61 applications for the position, of which 25 made it to a “pre-shortlist”.
The successful candidate out of the five shortlisted for the interview will fill the void left by former CEO Robert Kahimise, who resigned last year to join the central regional electricity distribution company, Cenored.
