Princess Brand Processing has invested N$3.75 million in new canning equipment for its operations.
The company recently acquired an automatic seamer machine for its cannery division.
The machine is used for sealing canned products such as pilchards and horse mackerel and is designed to improve hygiene during the canning process.
A company representative says the machine, which was installed last month, is made of stainless steel and designed to meet high safety standards, reducing the risk of contamination during production.
“This investment reflects our commitment to delivering safe, high-quality canned fish products to Namibian consumers,” the representative says.
The installation was supported by technical specialists from Spain and South Africa, working alongside local teams.
