Empowerment organisation to launch podcast

The Progressive Men Empowerment Organisation of Namibia (Pmeon) is set to launch a podcast and digital platform to address social, economic and developmental issues affecting men and women.

The Tashikuli Nashikweethe podcast launch, scheduled for 8 May in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Namibia, marks the beginning of continuous national dialogues beyond physical conferences.

It will serve as a platform for one-on-one dialogues, including women’s parliament, men’s assembly, financial literacy, marriage, education and counselling, targeting people between ages 16 and 75.

“It will expand national dialogue through TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, conduct evidence-based analysis of legislation and propose implementable solutions,” says Pmeon founder and president Fillemon Amoolongo in a statement issued on Wednesday.

He says the podcast will convene lawmakers, legal experts and national leaders in high-level discussions to facilitate public participation, civic consultation and advocacy for responsible legislative reform.

Amoolongo says the Tashikuli Nashikweethe platform represents Pmeon’s commitment to strengthening democracy, empowering citizens and advancing inclusive national development through structured civic and legal engagement.
