A wardrobe malfunction is every woman’s worst nightmare. Panic-inducing and embarrassing, this mishap is all the more worrying because you just never know when it might happen.
Imagine being out on that long planned and much anticipated girls-night out… Six inch heels, hair freshly done, flawlessly made up, wearing jewellery to die for. Your look topped off with the perfect accessories and that special dress, bought just for the occassion.
With all the planning and excitement surrounding a night out, no woman wants to end up with a broken heel or ripped dress… Many a good woman wouldn’t even wish such a thing on her worse enemy. Not even the one who bought the turquoise heels you so badly wanted… But Murphy’s Law being what it is, whatever can go wrong, probably will. Sometimes curls just go undone, you loose a button or your dress stretches a tad to much at the seam. As much as you feel like going home and giving up on an amazing night out or staying and sitting uncomfortably in the darkest corner of the hottest club in town, what you really should have done was carry a magic little emergency kit.
The wardrobe malfunction emergency kit is there to save your outfit and night out without you having to carry around an entire sewing machine.
There are a few items a girl can carry around, no matter how small your clutch bag.
A hair pin takes up no space at all and is perfectly handy when a you have a curl just hanging out of place or when the sheer heat of the dance floor causes your freshly done hair to frizz up. Whip it up into a stylishly messy bun, secure it with those little hair pins and voila, no stress at all as you continue dancing till the early hours.
Sometimes we mean to show a little cleavage and then a little cleavage becomes way too much cleavage. A safety pin will help you regain a bit of dignity and turn your look from trashy to classy and sexy at the same time.
For those days we wear heavily bedazzled dresses or tops and one plastic crystal just decides to fall off, you can temporarily glue it on and still look like a million dollars. Super glue also comes in really handy should your heel break off, handbag strap snap or the stone fall out of your favourite statement ring.
This might sound ghetto, but there is no shame in rolling of a bit of thread on a piece of hard plastic, black on the one side and white on the other. This is for those days that the seam goes undone and you only need two or three stitches to fix the problem. A button can also go undone and you can quickly sew the gap closed. It is easy to carry around and very useful.
If you are wearing a red shoe, try and carry red nail polish. Head to your favourite China shop for a cheap bottle of nail polish which is small, easy and comfortable to carry around. This is for those days you scratch your shoe and the ugly scuff mark is just too much. Simply apply some nail polish to the affected area, and your killer heel is as good as new, for the night at least.
All these items are easy to find and very small, making them perfect to carry around. Feel free to add anything else as long as it does not make your cute fashionable clutch look pregnant.
