Vinyls Lounge at the Zoo Park will be the place to be today for an entertainment extravaganza with acclaimed hikwa star Sunny Boy.
After some time without hosting any shows for his fans, Sunny Boy has decided to host a one-man ‘Kwaito Date With Sunny Boy’ show, under the theme ‘Old School’.
Sunny Boy says the event, which intends to attract hundreds of old school music lovers, will be a memorable event that will be very intimate.
He adds that the event aims to take fans down memory lane and also to listen to some of his greatest hits.
“We’ve not done anything cozy for our fans for some time now, and I just want to give them an intimacy vibe, especially since we’re facing the winter season,” says Sunny Boy.
This is just to refresh their memories, he says.
“This will be one of my best events to be remembered. It’ll be a networking event for fans to get up close with me,” says Sunny Boy.
He says he will be performing most of his hit songs – seven from his old albums and three new singles.
“I just want my fans to see what Sunny Boy has been up to. There won’t be any features, but I’ll invite two or three friends just to open the stage for me.”
Activities during the event include dancing, networking, and a question and answer session.
“I will also be explaining to people how some of my songs were made and their inspiration and just telling them who I am in general.”
He advised people to turn up early, as the space and tickets are limited. Tickets are going for N$100.
