KWAITO and Afro-pop star Phillipus Joseph, popularly known as D Kandjafa, took to social media to announce that his new music for the upcoming album, ‘Kapa Kaye ‘, was stolen at Hakahana on Thursday.
This happened when we hired some guys to update the new jukebox for the bar, someone took the USB from the beatbox which they found playing, he says.
The USB contained songs for his upcoming album, which was set to be released in May.
We want to trace the USB before I release the album, he says.
I ‘m not sure if the perpetrators will upload the songs or format the USB. If anyone sees or hears people playing my latest music, please call me on 081 434 8773.
According to D Kandjafa, the upcoming album consists of 20 tracks and features artists such as Exit, New Turn, Teqla, Zomblam, Kangweson, Christmas 065 Crew, Appi_7, Chacki-Beatz, and Warforce.
Born in the north central region of the country, D Kandjafa moved to the capital in 2007, which is also when he was first introduced to music.
He made headlines last year with the release of his fifth album, ‘The Rematch ‘, which was well received by fans.
