The Central Volleyball Association League is beginning to take shape after another round of matches over the weekend, with teams starting to separate themselves in both the women’s and men’s divisions.
In the women’s category, NCS remain firmly on top of the standings after maintaining their perfect record with a fifth consecutive victory. NCS defeated Revivals VC 3-0 on Saturday to move to 15 points from five matches, while also preserving an unbeaten set record of 15-0.
The victory keeps them five points clear of second-placed City of Windhoek Women, who have collected 10 points from four matches after winning three of their opening fixtures.
Nust-Eliminators are close behind in third place on nine points after four matches, while DTS-I occupy fourth spot with seven points following a strong start to their campaign.
City of Windhoek and Afrocat Sports Club-Trailers remain in the chasing pack as the battle for the top positions continues to intensify.
At the bottom of the standings, Revivals VC are still without a win after suffering their fifth straight defeat of the season.
The men’s division also produced several important results over the weekend at the KNVC Hall and Unam Main Outdoor Courts.
Unam Kings continue to lead the standings after 10 matches played, strengthening their position at the top following another important victory. One of the standout matches saw Unam-K edge Khomas Nampol Volleyball Club 3-2 in a five-set encounter.
Elsewhere, Nust-F secured a hard-fought win over Afrocat Sports Club C-E. At the same time, NDF-Huricanes recorded a dominant straight-sets victory against Afrocat Sports Club A. Kudus Sports Club also collected maximum points with a comfortable 3-0 win over ASC-A.
The latest results continue to shape the standings as teams push for consistency early in the season, with the race for top positions beginning to gather momentum heading into the next round of fixture
