The Southern African Customs Union has remained Namibia’s largest tax contributor at N$21.1 billion as at the end of March.
The Namibia Revenue Agency (Namra) says it has collected N$93 billion in gross income. After paying refunds, its revenue was N$81.1 billion.
Value added tax (VAT) was the second-largest contributor at N$19 billion, followed by personal income tax contributing N$18.5 billion to the country’s coffers.
Meanwhile, corporate income tax amounted to N$14.9 billion.
“At March 2026, Namra collected a net amount of N$81.1 billion, which equates to 2.6% of the total revenue target of N$79.1 billion for the 2025/26 financial year,” the agency says.
It also paid N$171 million from fraudulent activities in the VAT category in the last three months.
