Christina Milian gives birth to baby Violet

R&B singer and actress Christina Milian has given birth to a baby girl.
The 28-year-old star and her husband, Grammy-winning producer The Dream, welcomed Violet Madison Nash at 11.30pm on Friday night.

The 6lb 10z baby was delivered via Caesarean section and ‘has a full head of hair’, a friend of the couple told People magazine. While the baby is Milian’s first, The Dream, real name Terius Nash, already has three children with his ex-wife, R&B singer Nivea.Nash and Nivea were married for three years and have a four-year-old daughter and three-year-old twin boys together.Three weeks ago, Milian had to deny rumours she had already gone into labour.Writing on her Twitter page, she said: ‘I have no idea where MTO gets their info but I am not being rushed to the hospital.. LOL. Thanks for your concern though my friends. ‘I am not inducing my labour either.. WTH? People are just weird.’Milian and Nash, 31, finally confirmed rumours of her pregnancy in October after months of speculation.Speaking before the birth, she said: ‘I am nervous about giving birth to the baby. That’s probably the most nerve-wracking part of it all. Every day I wonder, ‘What happens if she comes earlier than expected?’’But as long as Dream is right next to me, I’ll be fine.’ The couple’s pregnancy announcement came four weeks after their surprise marriage in the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. The Dip It Low singer denied the pair’s wedding was spontaneous, saying they had been engaged for several months before hand. The couple’s marriage and pregnancy comes after a whirlwind romance, which started last March.Milian started dating The Dream a month after ending her three-year relationship with producer Andre Lyon. She also had a high-profile two-year romance with Mariah Carey’s now-husband Nick Cannon, but it ended in 2005 after she accused him of cheating on her. source: dailymail.co.uk
