For four decades, The Namibian has stood as a beacon of independent media, giving a voice to the voiceless and shedding light on the realities that shape our nation.
As a movement rooted in human rights, dignity, and justice, we recognise and celebrate the role The Namibian has played in amplifying marginalised voices, including those of sex workers, the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex and other (LGBTQI+) communities, and grassroots activists.
Your platform has helped challenge stigma, spark dialogue, and promote accountability. In times of silence, you have spoken. In moments of injustice, you have stood firm. And in the face of adversity, you have remained resilient.
We honour your legacy and look forward to continued collaboration in building a more inclusive, informed, and empowered Namibia. May the next 40 years be filled with even greater impact, innovation, and stories that matter.
