Border pulled off a remarkable two-wicket victory against Namibia in their CSA Three-Day match in East London on 21 December.
After being set a victory target of 281, Border reached the total with only two wickets remaining.
Namibia started in the ascendancy and led for much of the match before a second innings collapse gave Border a reprieve.
Namibia were sent in to bat and despite losing the early wickets of Stephan Baard for 8 and Christi Viljoen for 4, their middle order batsmen consolidated to reach 300 all out.
Craig Williams led the way with 61 off 84 balls, and together with Nicolaas Scholtz who scored 57, they put on 107 runs for the fifth wicket.
JP Kotze 74 continued to pile on the runs before he was dismissed for 74 of 137 balls before the whole team were out for 300 runs.
Namibia’s bowlers put Border under pressure from the start as the home side lost wickets at regular intervals.
They crashed to 58 for 5 wickets before a tail end revival saw them reaching 188 all out.
Christi Viljoen was Namibia’s best bowler with 4/38, while Louis Klazinga took 2/21 and Bernard Scholtz 2/36.
With a first innings lead of 112, Namibia were in the driving seat, but a second innings collapse saw Border taking the initiative as they dismissed Namibia for 168.
Jason Davidson top scored with 30, while Craig Williams added 27 and Nicolaas Scholtz 20.
In an exciting finish to the match, Border prevailed as they reached 281 for the loss of eight wickets.
Burton de Wett led the way with 64 while Jerry Nqolo scored 53 not out.
Namibia’s best bowlers were Christi Viljoen (4/47) sand Bernard Scholtz (4/94).
Border win by 8 wickets
On 22 December, Border beat Namibia by 8 wickets in their CSA 50-over match.
Namibia scored a modest 158 all out off 41,1 overs, while Border scored 160/2 off 30,4 overs.
Namibia elected to bat after winning the toss but were pinned down by some accurate bowling while they regularly lost wickets.
Xander Pitchers (10), JB Burger (17) and Christi Viljoen (13) were dismissed early as Namibia reached 45/3, but Craig Williams and Nicolaas Scholtz stemmed the onslaught with a 53-run partnership for the fourth wicket.
Williams top scored with 46, while Scholtz aded 23 and JP Kotze 25, but when they were out, the rest of the batting lineup was quickly dismissed, as Namibia lost its last five wickets for only 20 runs.
Border easily reached the winning total of 160 with the loss of only two wickets with 19 overs to spare.
Gionne Koopman led the way with 63 not out off 86 balls.
