Most of the news today is something of a wag and a woof – it comes from the Tails house, which has kind of become the house of choice since Weza moved there.
Despite the presence of the mellow Angolan glam girl, Halloween has come knocking on the doors of the BBA residence. Yip, the Fear Factor is in town and is residing at the two BBA ‘compounds’. Forget BBA ‘Amplified’, this week it’s BBA Fear Factor. OK … all this rambling about fear and Halloween is justified, I promise! This week’s task is themed around Shock and Horror. As per Biggie’s orders, housemates are to bring out the fear in each other this week. The first scary leg materialised on Tuesday night with housemates having to sit around a fire and tell horror tales. Fiction or true life, some of the tales could win awards if ever developed into Hollywood movie productions. Or Nollywood! Who knows, that may not be too farfetched. And so, the housemates buckled down, scrunched up and took turns to tell their particular tale from the vault. No stone was left unturned, no toad unkissed, no witch spurned in the litany of horror tales spun by the housemates. Everything from witchcraft, cannibalism, snakes, cults, rituals, greed and rape was touched on. And as you might have guessed, Angola’s Weza was the one who conjured up something about witchcraft. No telling whether she had Felicia in mind as she recounted this one – remember the stir she caused not so long ago when she was rumoured – I repeat rumoured: Millicent was involved after all!! – to have called Felicia a witch? Mmmmmhhhhh, just another day in Big Brotherville.Have to say I was very moved by Miss P’s true life tale of how she was almost sexually assaulted while in Malaysia with a friend. The outspoken Motswana even shed tears … good for her that she’s continuing with life – keep strong Miss P.Anyhow, the task brings back fond memories. Kind of reminds me of my pre-puberty days long ago at the village when we would sit around the fire bare chested and listen to our grandparents telling us horror stories. Like I said, that was a long, long time ago – when Blackberrys and Apples were still just fruit (not gadgets!).Anyway, talking of scary tales, in a world of my own, the only thing that comes close to shocking and horror in the house currently is Luclay and his drama queen antics.Oh yeah, and his big butt. Have you noticed the boy’s big matakos? Eish, I get chills down my spine just thinking about it … I need divine intervention! Nuff said about me. To add more eeeeuuwwww to the horror, yesterday morning housemates were treated to what could have been a very delectable pizza – if only it didn’t have a colony of dead and alive worms as dressing.Imagine Sharon O’s pretty smile turning into a frightful frown at the sight of worms residing on her breakfast. The Ugandan beauty had to be disqualified because she tried to remove the worms from her pizza slice. Repeat after me Sharon O ‘thou shalt not play with thy food but eat it as it is provided’.For the sake of winning their wager, each housemate had to dig in and take at least a bite, something Heads Head of House Felicia reminded them about as a number of them put up resistance to eating the worm-adorned pizza. Across the two houses, those who had the most difficulty gobbling down the pizza included Kim, Weza and Miss P. Vina and Wendall, on the other hand, had no problem. Zim’s virgin boy Wendall won the challenge for Heads, and Danny clinched it in the Tails house. ‘I’m Threatened’Kim is not the only one living in fear of another housemate intruding on her special house relationship. In her case with Nic. Despite the blow-ups between Luclay and Karen, turns out Karen has a soft spot for the big-butted South African.Between Kim, Nic and Bernadina’s web of feelings, the Tails house has kind of become a soap opera – a hub of emotion, vulnerability, drama, attraction, passion and intrigue. Indulge my people, indulge.Nevertheless, it took Weza’s arrival in Tails for Karen to own up to whatever it is she feels for Luclay. The Naija girl on Tuesday evening put Luclay on the spot and wanted to know where she stood with him, especially now that Weza, whom Luclay has previously admitted to having a crush on, was in the same house.Luclay mumbled some or the other half-baked answer, though he did admit he would have dated Weza had he been single. Earlier, Luclay could not stop telling Weza how happy he was that the two of them were once again reunited … blah blah blah!In line with this week’s Shock and Horror task, let’s just hope that no horrifying fights break out between these three, though, truth be told, Karen and Weza also seem to connect well.* BBA is broadcast live 24/7 on DStv Channel 198.
