Big Brother Africa 3: Getting down with Johan

I JUST loved watching Big Brother Finland housemate Johan as he entered the BBA house as a snowman on Monday.

I haven’t laughed that hard in ages. As he sat crouched on the ground, Thami and Ricco gave each other high fives – hoping for a pretty girl to replace Munya. They exerted enough energy to power Johannesburg as they jumped up and down as they speculated that it must be a Swedish girl! As they poked at the snowman, he jumped up, giving them the shock of their lives.Funny stuff. He seems to be a really open-minded guy, which is cool.He is open to learning about Africa and its various cultures and he seems to have a really wicked sense of humour too.Even though his culture is quite different from those of the remaining housemates, he seems to fit in quite easily, even taking some pointers from Ricco on how to dance to Kwaito music.Must say, the saying about white boys not knowing how to dance doesn’t seem to apply to Johan, he was getting down and getting his groove on with the rest of them.He and Ricco in particular seem to have loads in common.ROMEO According to the BBA site, Johan is quite a player back in the Big Brother Finland house. He has hooked up with not one, not two, but six of his fellow housemates.Apparently he doesn’t even have to do the hunting, the girls just fall into his lap and he, being the gentleman that he is, couldn’t ever refuse to oblige them. This week the housemates have to create cross-cultural outfits. The housemates must design attire that incorporates elements of Finnish and African culture. Then they’ll have to wear the outfits on Thursday night for a big banquet.Latest word out of Finland is that the BB housemates there are being assigned a lot of day tasks now that Munya is in the house. Most of it is connected to introducing him to Finnish culture. This morning they were woken up by Finn-Biggie and had to go “ice fishing” right away. There was styrofoam over a cold water tub in the yard and they were divided into pairs who first had to walk more than 20 laps around the yard and then “ice fish” in the “lake” HIGH NOON In the meantime, don’t forget it’s TK and Ricco up for eviction this week.Ricco has been up and faced the public vote and survived three times, while TK has been nominated four times but only faced the public vote once.TK appears really confident that he’s the one who’s going to be staying, thinking that Ricco will leave this week.During a conversation in the house he said it’s “obvious” that the other housemates regard him as a “threat”! You think TK?!! He’s so confident that he’s going to be around for a while that he’s saying he’s sure he’ll be nominated again next week.I don’t know about the rest of Africa, but if Namibia has anything to do with it, TK’s ass is grass this Sunday.* Keep watching all the action on Channel 198 and watch the daily highlights packages every night at 20h00 on Channel 102.Send your views, thoughts and opinions to bba@namibian.com.na.As he sat crouched on the ground, Thami and Ricco gave each other high fives – hoping for a pretty girl to replace Munya. They exerted enough energy to power Johannesburg as they jumped up and down as they speculated that it must be a Swedish girl!
