Beauties thrash Challengers

OKAHANDJA Beauties extended their lead at the top of the NFA Women Super League (WSL) with a 23-0 annihilation of bottom-of-the-log Challengers FC on Saturday.

Beauties came into the match level on 31 points with the JS Academy who will only resume playing next weekend, and have now extended their lead to 34 points with a 23-0 win over a hapless Challengers side.Beauties made easy work of their opponents despite missing players such as Thomalina Adams, Susanna Eises, Juliana Skrywer and Shirley Cloete, who went AWOL.However Kleintjie Fredericks and Stacey Naris were in great form to steer their team to a comprehensive victory, with Fredericks scoring an incredible 11 goals to go top of the Top Goal Scorers chart with a record number of 35 goals. Fredericks’ team mate Juliana Skrywer is second with 28 goals while Zenatha Coleman of JS Academy is third with 19 goals. Poly Babes remained third on the log after a hard fought 3-2 win over Unam Bokkies on Saturday and a 5-1 victory against 21 BD United on Sunday. They are now tied on 31 points with JS Academy, who have two matches in hand.
