Apartheid Doesn’t Compare With Israeli Aggression

Apartheid Doesn’t Compare With Israeli Aggression

I FIND it difficult to believe that there would be a time that I would ever say anything in defence of the brutal South African apartheid regime but find it necessary to express one difference of opinion to the otherwise truly outstanding contribution from Mr Herbert Jauch on the Israeli oppression and genocidal adventures in Palestine.

Mr Jauch draws a comparison of similarity between the horrific brutality and oppression by the apartheid regime of South Africa and the systematic slaughter of the Palestinians by Israel. (In collusion with the USA of course.) Compared to what Israel is doing, life under apartheid was a Sunday-school picnic. The apartheid forces did not engage in the indiscriminate murder of civilians; the herding of women and children into schools and churches and then bombing those buildings; the use of tanks to destroy lives and homes in the townships; the destruction of hospitals and clinics; the denial of food, water, medicines, etc to the non-white populace; the total restriction of movement;… the list is endless. In fairness to the hated apartheid regime, they were babies compared to Israel of today. B.J.Wentworth Via e-mail
