Another Namcor accused appears in court

A ninth suspect in the alleged N$480-million fraud case of the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (Namcor) made his first court appearance on Friday.

Leo Stefanus will join eight other co-accused for formal bail application on Monday, magistrate Olga Muharukua said on Friday when the suspect appeared in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court.

Stefanus is facing three counts of the offence of corruptly giving gratification, raketeering and money laundering.

This was said by public prosecutor Menencia Hinda.
