THE University of Pretoria have their sights set on concluding a deal with Namibian player Larry Horaeb to strengthen the team.
Tuks coach Steve Barker told Soccer-Laduma that Horaeb is their target to add to the exciting squad they have assembled this season. ‘We are waiting for him to join us. We value his talent,’ said Barker. The 20-year-old could have been playing for the PSL newcomers already had it not been for paperwork issues that hindered his move to the club in the previous transfer window. He and his countryman Ronald Ketjijere caught the attention of Tuks with their impressive performances in recent times. The two players are important members of the Brave Warriors, the Namibian national team. Horaeb is expected to finalise his move to Tshwane in January. He plays at right-back and can play as a winger if the coach wants him to fill there. Tuks currently occupy second spot on the South African Premiership log standings on 15 points from their opening eight matches. Powerhouses Kaizer Chiefs lead the table with 18 points. -soccerladuma.co.za
