The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested the son of prominent businessman Peter Elindi as part of its ongoing investigation into the N$480-million corruption scandal involving the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia.
This brings the total number of arrests in the case to 11.
ACC spokesperson Josefina Nghituwamata confirmed the arrest on Monday but declined to reveal names.
“I can confirm that two additional people were arrested today. More information will be provided when they appear in court,” she said.
The arrest of Elindi’s son coincided with the detention of another Enercon Namibia executive earlier in the day.
