A Honeymoon Abroad or at Home?

Some couples prefer to have their honeymoon on an island where no one knows them and there are a variety of activities to do like laze around on the beach and have a cocktail or simply splash about in the beautiful blue waters.

Usually, this kind of environment is found abroad. For others, Namibia is the perfect place to have a honeymoon.

Maybe it could be right on the beach in Swakopmund for a two-day stay at a fancy hotel. Maybe it’s a wonderful week in the wild, where you live in the luxury in the beautiful landscapes Namibia has to offer.

Everyone has their own idea of the perfect honeymoon so The Weekender asked readers what their preferences are.

Definitely abroad! I think it should be the one time you’re allowed to spend a little more. Don’t get me wrong, Namibia is a beautiful country, but I definitely would want to have an unforgettable honeymoon, even if it will cost me an arm and a leg.

I would prefer a honeymoon abroad. Namibia is beautiful, but it’s my home and I have seen most of it. I would want to see something different, a wonder of the world maybe. (Take me to the Taj Mahal or something!) Or if we are on a budget, a closer place like Vic Falls will do, just not Namibia.

It will be the most exciting part of my memories if I choose to have it here in my motherland since I will be seeing many attracting and wonderful places. But I certainly prefer abroad, places I have never been to. The discovery and journey is part of it.

Namibia has some great places, I wouldn’t mind but it would be up to the future wife to decide, though.

A-freaking-broad! To experience a new type of thing!

Definitely in Namibia. Have you seen the amazing places this our country has to offer? The views? Sunsets? #Bliss
