A Dream Come True for 6mo9 Sportswear

UNWRAP.ONLINENAMIBIAN sportswear brand 6mo9, fronted by former soccer player Alfred Ndyenge, has gained popularity with local consumers – despite heavy competition.

The brand started off as a mere dream a few years ago.

Popularly known in sport circles as ‘Alfie’, Ndyenge says his journey towards establishing a local brand has not been easy, as he has had to navigate the challenges of branding, intense marketing and competition, as well as gaining local consumers’ trust.

Despite the bumpy ride, he says the brand has found a soft spot among sport enthusiasts – in particular its winter range.

The brand offers everything from hoodies and T-shirts to tracksuits, he says.

Ndyenge has made a name for himself playing football in six countries, including England.

“My main target is to continue producing bulk quality sportswear that competes with all the international brands, and I believe 6mo9 is quality enough to get shelfspace among other sought-after designer labels,” he says.

Ndyenge says they have positioned themselves in the Namibian market through authentic, tailor-made products for sport teams, companies and individuals with a taste for designer products.

“We are a truly Namibian brand that aims to satisfy a vacant market space through offering original designer wear that can compete with the best available,” he says.
