Zambian president Hakainde Hichilema has paid tribute to Namibia’s founding president, Sam Nujoma, who died on Saturday, 8 February.
Nujoma was hospitalised for three weeks in Windhoek before he died due to ill health.
“Deeply saddened by the passing of Sam Nujoma – freedom fighter, nationalist, pan-Africanist, and founding president of Namibia,” he posted on his X platform on Sunday.
He added: “His legacy will live on forever.”
