Namibia Statistics Agency senior statistician Tommy Harris says women in the Zambezi region account for 50.8% of the population, while men comprise 49.2%.
He said this during the launch of the Zambezi census regional profile at Katima Mulilo on Tuesday.
Harris further revealed that about 43.3% of the Zambezi region’s population has completed primary education, while 1.1% has no formal education.
He said about 50.4% of the Zambezi region’s young people are unemployed, while 49.6% are employed.
