Opuwo residents will experience a 10-hour water interruption next Thursday as the Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) carries out infrastructure upgrades.
The water supply will be suspended from 08h00 to 18h00 to allow for the upgrading of booster pumps and installation of pipelines, the company has announced.
NamWater spokesperson Lot Ndamanomhata said the works will also include chlorination extraction and the installation of chlorine dosing points on pipelines supplying the Opuwo reservoir.
The interruption will affect the Opuwo Town Council area and surrounding communities.
Residents have been advised to store enough water to last the duration of the shutdown.
