Woolworths recalls apple juice

Upmarket retailer Woolworths is recalling its apple juice in 200-millilitre cartons with the best before dates of 23, 28 and 29 March 2022.

This is after it was discovered that the apple juice in these containers have levels of patulin – a naturally occurring mycotoxin produced by mould which is commonly associated with apples – above the regulatory limits, the company said in a media statement on Monday afternoon.

Woolworths advised customers who have bought the affected product to return to to their local store for a full refund.
