Woman ‘accidentally’ shot in stomach

A WOMAN in Katutura laid a case of attempted murder against her husband last week after a gun lying on a table in their house went off.
Frederika Harases (39) was shot in the stomach.
According to the Police, her husband had been drinking and had left the gun lying on a table.

* Jinny de Klerk (18) was killed by an unknown suspect after a scuffle in Zidekias Ogamb road in Katutura on Friday.The suspect hit De Klerk’s head on a wall before dragging her body 150 metres down the road. No arrest has been made. * On Saturday, a car carrying three Congolese officials in Windhoek to the DRC-Namibia football match overturned on Sam Nujoma Drive in Klein Windhoek. The driver apparently blacked out and the car travelled straight instead of turning at a corner, overturning in the process. One of the three Congolese officials, identified as Koy Logolo (54), is in a serious condition. All passengers and the driver have been admitted to the Roman Catholic Hospital. * Yesterday, a car travelling along the Daan Viljoen road veered off the road and overturned, killing two passengers.The two victims have been identified as Carolinus Gaoses and her daughter, Juanita Gaoses. * Goods worth N$178 000 were stolen from a house in Witvalk Road, Katutura, last Thursday. The goods included two jackpot machines, a plasma TV and a shotgun. The complainant had been out of town and returned to find his house burgled.
