Namibia beat Boland by five wickets in their CSA 50-over match in Windhoek on Sunday.
After a fine bowling and fielding display by the home side, Bland were dismissed for a paltry 139 off 46,3 overs.
Namibia comfortably reached the winning target off only 32,4 overs with Craig Williams top scoring with 50 not out.
Namibia sent Boland in to bat and the visitors were immediately on the back foot when Zaheer Lorgat was caught behind off Brandon Viret for a duck.
Craig Williams dismissed Emile Kriek for 9 and when Letlotlo Sesele was out for 22 and Uwe Birkenstock for 6, Boland had slumped to 50 for four wickets.
Keegan Petersen and Ryan Canning put on 50 for the fifth wicket, but three wickets in quick succession put Namibia back in charge.
Bernard Scholtz bowled Canning for 18, Petersen was out for 39 to a great running catch by Shalako Groenewald and Tiaan Cloete was out to another spectacular catch by Raymond van Schoor for 6, as Boland crashed to 111 for seven wickets.
Ockert Erasmus added 17 but received little support as the whole side was out for 139 off 46,3 overs.
Brandon Viret who took three wickets for 41 runs, Craig Williams (3/23) and Bernard Scholtz (3/16) were Namibia’s top bowlers.
In Namibia’s reply, Stephen Baard was out for 12 but then lost three wickets for three runs as Xander Pitchers (21), Raymond van Schoor (8) and Sarel Burger (0) were out in quick succession to take the score to 43 for four wickets.
Craig Williams however steadied the innings and although JP Kotze was out for 13, Christi Viljoen joined Williams to take them to victory.
The two shared an unbroken sixth wicket stand of 86 runs with Craig Williams unbeaten on 50 off 72 balls (5×4, 1×6) and Viljoen unbeaten on 32 off 45 balls (1×4, 2×6).
Petrus Jeftha (two wickets for 26 runs) and Monde Mahlombe (2 for 21) were Boland’s best bowlers.
Namibia obtained five bonus points to move up to tenth place on the log, while Boland remain bottom of the log on zero points.
