Vivid Vocals, the newest choir in town

NEW CHOIR … Some of Vivid Vocals’ new choir members.

Vivid Vocals is the latest music ensemble to stir the Namibian music industry.

Established this year by choral singer Rivaldo Nouseb, the choir comprises people aged 21 to 40 from Windhoek, Okahandja, and Osona Village.

All its members have sung in various other choirs before.

“Our objective is to inspire the lives of our members, audiences, and communities through meaningful choral experiences,” Nouseb says.

“We want to serve God through our musical talent, inspire our fellow men through our quality renditions of choral music, and promote the spiritual and personal growth of our members through Christ-centred activities,” he says.

Being a non-profit organisation, serving the community is part of the choir’s vision, as well as charity programmes and volunteer work.

It remains a challenge for the group to balance adult life, work, and personal responsibilities, so they rehearse just twice month.

Despite this, they remain committed and passionate.

“Our ambitions are to improve in terms of quality and numbers, and to offer a haven through music – not only for our members, but for audiences and communities as well,” Nouseb says.

Vivid Vocals is now planning an official launch, where the band will be formally presented to the public.

Subsequently, it will be performing at concerts and events, and will be initiating its charity programmes.

The band is also open for bookings and collaborations and will be sharing its music and motivational spirit with an even wider community.

Vivid Vocals has already established a social media presence on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, where it plans to upload updates, performances, and behind-the-scenes views of its journey.
