The Namibian Police in the Kavango West region are investigating a case of murder after a man’s body was found at Kakuro village in the Nkurenkuru constituency by community members on Monday.
According to chief inspector Raimbert Muronga, the incident was reported to the Nkurenkuru police station by members of the community at around 09h00.
Muronga says the deceased has not yet been identified. However, preliminary investigations reveal that he was allegedly beaten to death with sticks by four individuals.
Muronga has called on members of the public to help identify the deceased by visiting the police station mortuary or offering any information that may lead to his identification.
Four suspects, whose particulars cannot be revealed, have been detained at the Nkurenkuru holding cells.
Police investigations into the matter continue.
