The body of an unidentified man was discovered floating in the Zambezi River on Saturday.
The police say the body was spotted by the owner of a local tourist establishment in the area, who immediately alerted them.
“The Katima Mulilo Police water unit and navy forces were dispatched and retrieved the man, who was wearing blue jeans and a black T-shirt. Forensic officers collected the body for storage at Katima Mulilo State Hospital mortuary pending a postmortem,” the preliminary police report states.
Police investigations to establish the man’s identity continue.
