According to NTN public relations officer Desiree Mentor, the project was created to promote the works of final-year students, as they are to embark on their careers in the performing arts industry.
“This opportunity allows students the chance to showcase their work on a professional stage and challenge them to set up and maintain a certain calibre of quality, excellence, creativity and integrity in the work they do,” she says.
The workshop would also offer workshops on various topics related to the different disciplines that are taught in the drama and music departments, Mentor adds.
“Free workshops will be facilitated by lecturers and some senior students to the public and to creatives. The programme will feature the best works from senior students in the visual and performing arts department in their respective disciplines that include acting, voice, movement and dance, as well as performances from the music department and the Unam choir,” she says. – unWrap.online
