Two men died in a car accident at Oshakati on Tuesday morning after the a bakkie in which they were travelling allegedly collided with a pickup belonging to the Namibia Defence Force.
The incident has been confirmed by Oshana police spokesperson chief inspector Thomas Aiyambo.
“The accident happened at around 07h00 this morning along the Oshakati–Oshikuku road. The vehicles involved were a pickup and an Amarok. One person died upon arrival at the hospital, while the other died at the scene,” he says.
“The driver of the pickup sustained serious injuries and is in hospital,” he added.
Aiyambo could not release the names of the deceased, saying their next of kin had not yet been informed.
