The fourth edition of TopCheri’s Kiddies Concert and Play Day will take place on 29 November at the Eros Primary School sport field in Windhoek, promising a mix of performances, activities and family entertainment.

Organisers say this year’s event will introduce new interactive activities while maintaining its focus on celebrating young talent and strengthening community bonds.

“This year promises to be bigger and more exciting than ever before. Families can expect an action-packed day filled with performances from talented children, fun stalls, entertainment for the whole family and surprises that will create lasting memories,” says TopCheri’s manager, Mepani M.

“We are also introducing new interactive activities and partners to ensure the experience is fresh, fun and engaging.”

She describes the concert’s growth over the years as a reflection of its impact.

“The journey has been nothing short of incredible. From our first volume to now, we’ve seen growth in numbers, creativity and community involvement.”

The line-up will feature children aged three to 16, showcasing skills in singing, dancing, poetry, drumming and instrumental performance, as well as creative art displays. In addition, well-known local acts will perform alongside the children to add variety and inspiration.

According to Mepani M, the main goal is to provide a safe and vibrant platform where children can showcase their abilities while building confidence and teamwork.

“Beyond entertainment, we aim to empower children by giving them a voice, an audience and the encouragement to dream big,” she says.

Parents have praised past concerts for nurturing children’s creativity and boosting their confidence, while participants have gained recognition in their schools and communities.

“The event has become a stepping stone for many, sparking dreams that go beyond the stage,” Mepani M adds.

Last year’s edition featured highlights such as a Bakpro eating competition, in which children and parents raced to finish a loaf of bread to win a back-to-school voucher, alongside performances from Ms Gideon, Mega Slaughterhouse, Die Laste Hond and Fenny the Dancer.

This year, organisers say they are determined to build on that energy with new elements designed to keep families engaged throughout the day. The concert is powered by Instant Futures and supported by a range of sponsors.

Tickets are already available at Webticket and Model stores nationwide.
