• JAMES JAMUTHE Ell’s will be the headlining act at this weekend’s Windhoek City Market, taking place at the Windhoek Country Club Resort and Casino on Friday from 16h00.
The show will be pivotal for the duo, as it will either make or trample their dreams of international stardom.
Comprised of Artwell Neusu and Emmanuel Ndifon, The Ell’s made their global aspirations clear to the public earlier this year, and through the use of social media, they were able to launch a GoFundMe campaign which has garnered 245 euros in the past week, with a target of 3 000 euros to be raised by the end of June.
“We are hoping to travel to cosmopolitan areas in Europe where we know our music will add to the cultural wealth of these cities. We plan to perform at cultural centres to offer a gaze into what Namibia gave birth to,” said Ndifon.
The duo aim to visit Germany, Finland, Norway and France; with further possibilities to expand depending on the success of the shows. They also plan to use the raised money to record more singles and compile an EP titled ‘For The Right Time’
“We plan to sell copies and make them available online for people to purchase while on tour.”
“We love the Ell’s, that’s why we want to dedicate this fundraiser to them. We believe that their talent deserves worldwide exposure,” reads a statement from the Windhoek City Market team.
The night market takes place every fortnight and includes a bevy of food and drinks and a family friendly environment where parents and children can enjoy fellowship.
