Telecom Namibia has extended Armando Perny’s appointment as acting chief executive for another six months.
The extension takes effect Friday, 31 July and will run until 31 January 2027.
Telecom board of directors made the announcement on Thursday.
The board says the extension will ensure continuity while Telecom Namibia continues implementing its strategic plans, improving operations and delivering telecommunications services across the country.
Perny has been serving as acting chief executive and has led the company’s operations while overseeing its transformation initiatives.
His appointment came after the resignation of Stanley Shanapinda. At the back of it, Telecom announced the resignation of its chief commercial officer and chief finance officer.
