A taxi driver was allegedly tear-gassed by a passenger and robbed of his vehicle worth about N$60 000 in Katutura on Saturday at around 03h10.
The police say the car has not been recovered yet, and investigations are ongoing.
The police also reported a case of malicious damage to property of Otjomuise Police Station’s holding cells.
They say the iron stairs, a burglar bar door, a cell door and a metal detector were damaged on Saturday.
Investigations into the matter are underway.
In a separate incident, the police are investigating a case of housebreaking in the Otjomuise area on Friday evening.
“It is alleged that suspect(s) broke into the victim’s house and stole two laptops, two watches and groceries valued at N$27 300,” reads the police’s weekend report.
