SUPERSPORT communications manager Clinton van der Berg has apologised for an update on Thursday night in which they identified Namibian sprinting sensation Christine Mboma as Kenyan.
The update was posted shortly after Mboma won the women’s 200-metre race at the Wanda Diamond League competition in Zurich in a new under-20 world record of 21,78 seconds.
Mboma, who is already an Olympic 200m silver medallist at the age of 18, pipped Shericka Jackson of Jamaica to the line, while Dina Asher Smith of Great Britain came third.
