Stand-up comedy makes a return with ‘Room 62’

Stand-up comedian Mark Kariahuua is returning to the solo stage after a three-year break, bringing his new one-man show, ‘Room 62’, to Windhoek for a single performance on 10 September.

Kariahuua, who works as a creative concept developer and digital marketer, is a familiar face on the local comedy scene. Over the years, he has built a reputation for straightforward, observational humour and sharp social commentary, having previously shared stages with regional acts such as Joey Rasdien and Marc Lottering.

Speaking about the upcoming performance, Kariahuua says the show draws on his experiences and personal observations gathered during his time away from solo stand-up.

“Room 62 is kind of funny, kind of serious, but mostly honest,” he says.

The show promises an unfiltered look at personal and cultural topics, delivered in his characteristic direct style.
