Petrol heads are seeing a boom time both in events and stakes. The furiously fast will again flock to the cathedral of engine capacity, Tony Rust Race Track, this Friday for an all out speed and spin fest for the best by the best.
It all starts revving up around sunset when the sanctuary of tyre smoke will see dozens of Windhoek’s fastest drag racing cars and bikes take to the quarter mile to settle scores, earn bragging rights and snatch the fastest time of the evening.
Not only will you be witnessing some seriously quick runs, but Namibia’s most hardcore spin crew, the Namtol Spinners, will be on hand to shake things up with a bit of smokey sideways fun.
It’s going to be a big one so make sure to get there early and to drive responsibly to the venue and back.
Gates open at 17h30 and entrance is N$30. The race fee is N$100 for unlimited runs. Bring your own crash helmet.
