Second edition of wellness expo to be held in Kavango East

The second edition of the Health, Wellnessm Entrepreneurship and Career Expo in the Kavango East region will be hosted by Omnicon Investments CC.

The company’s founder, Wilson Kandjii, says the expo is scheduled for 31 July to 5 August.

“This event provides a platform for promoting health and wellness, while also giving corporate companies and small and medium enterprises an opportunity to showcase their products and services,” he says.

Kandjii says the expo will not only benefit the participating companies, but also the general public.

Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the health industry, explore the offerings of participating companies, and gather information on various health-related topics.

It is a great way to promote awareness and education within the community, he says.

“The event will be inaugurated by the region’s custodians, including the governor, Rundu mayor, councillors, and key players in the health industry.

Their presence will lend credibility and importance to the expo, emphasising its significance in the region,” Kandjii says.

“Moreover, it’s exciting to hear there have been requests to replicate this idea across all 14 regions of Namibia. This indicates the potential for similar events to be organised in different parts of the country, allowing more communities to benefit from such expos,” he says.

“The diverse range of services and professionals participating in the expo, such as wellness screenings, medical aid advice, social workers, dentistry, optometry, dietetics, fitness instruction, insurance services and private ambulance services will provide attendees with a comprehensive and valuable experience,” Kandjii says.

Overall, the expo aims to contribute to the promotion of health and well-being, foster entrepreneurship, and create opportunities for various stakeholders in the health industry.
